The Big Melt is Coming

Environment Canada is predicting double-digit temperatures in Heritage Lake, starting next week. This weekend, they predict +5C with sunny conditions. After all this snow, and warm temperatures just around the corner, a quick melt is anticipated! Please brace yourself for the wet conditions: Shovel snow away from your home’s foundation and window wells If moving or piling snow, ensure snow and ice are not blocking furnace and exhaust vents to prevent carbon monoxide buildup Ensure downspouts (eavestroughs) are clear and pointed away from your home/foundation Once melting begins and storm drains are visible, clear snow away Clean sidewalks in front of your home to minimize ice build-up. Adopt-A-Fire-Hydrant Program

Local resident, John Riley had a terrific suggestion that the community establish an "Adopt-A-Fire-Hydrant" Program, with all the snow that we've received of late. As you are aware, many of the neighborhood fire hydrants are totally covered in snow. If the Fire Department needs to access any of them, it may take them extra time to find them and to connect their hoses. Please consider digging one out to help keep Heritage Lake safe & secure. We're sure that the Fire Department (and your neighbors) will appreciate the effort. Thanks very much! View Newsletter HERE.

We Need Your Help With Sidewalk Snow Clearing

With all the snow that's fallen, we really need your help! Our little Kubota with snow blower and brush attachment just can't keep up. We've all experienced icy sidewalks after the last snowfall because we just couldn't get down to the sidewalk with current HOA equipment. It would be really helpful if you can clear all the snow from the sidewalk in front of your home to give our staff a fighting chance. Please thank Robert and Kam for a job well done the next time that you see them drive by. They have been amazing! Thanks for being that Snow Angel that everyone appreciate
