Thanks to everyone who attended the 2018 Annual General Meeting. We had a record number of attendees and submitted proxy authorizations.
MD of Foothills Reeve, Larry Spilak gave us an informative update on regional activities, with assistance from Harry Riva Cambrin, MD's CAO/Director of Public Works & Engineering.
Darlene Roblin, Protective Services Coordinator offered their perspective and review of the MD's Protective Services Department in cooperation with the RCMP. We really appreciated her clarification on what was MD vs HOA responsibility.
Board Chair, Mark O'Henly reviewed the 2017 Lake House accomplishments and activities, systems update, MD and community relationships, Whirling Disease, Landscaping and Lake House staffing changes.
Treasurer, Heather Harris presented the 2017 financial results in a very clear and concise manner. We continue to operate in a very good financial position and everyone appreciated the clarification on the Restricted Asset (Reserve Fund) account.
Director, Paul Taylor who coordinated the Board's Life Cycle Undertaking gained all our confidence as he presented the results and recommendations of this very import initiative.
The Special Resolution topic garnered some very spirited discussion, under the leadership of Bryan Dozzi, Vice-Chair and Water Sub-Committee Chair. The decision was made to defer the resolution in order to allow for future community stakeholder consultation.
