Recreation Notices

The LAHPOA uses the International Flag System to communicate Water Safety Conditions. For your safety, ensure that you check the flags posted at both the front and rear of the Lake House. GREEN means the Lake is safe for swimming and/or the ice has reached a safe thickness.  RED means the Lake is not safe for any recreational use.

Rowboats, Canoes, Kayaks, Pedal Boats and Stand-Up Paddleboards:

Watercraft must be signed out through a Staff Member, and the signing Resident Member must always remain with the equipment. Reservations are not accepted for watercraft but you may request to be added to our Equipment Waitlist. Only one watercraft may be signed out by a resident at any time.

LIFE JACKETS (PFD’s) MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES WHEN USING LAHPOA WATER CRAFT.  NO EXCEPTIONS!  Violation of this condition may result in the loss of Lake Access privileges.  PFD’s are available at the Lake House and must be worn, fastened correctly, at all times when using water craft.

Residents and Guests using the LAHP watercraft MUST stay clear of all wildlife on the lake.  Anyone approaching or harming wildlife in anyway may have their booking privileges revoked.
